The client wanted a celebration of Celtic, cultural, couture, and culinary experiences. Across the superlative birthday event guests encountered two sides of wild Scotland; from the thrilling adrenaline rush of reaching the summit on a dawn hike to the chills of hedonistic anticipation as they watched some of the most engaging performers at sundown.

Beginning with a champagne reception at the jet door and a choreographed arrival convoy sweeping down the drive of the imposing Paladian-style mansion the event unfolded across two days. In the beginning there were estate activities harking back to the heyday of the landed gentry, a ‘backyard BBQ’ and lawn games giving a doff of the cap to our clients’ homeland, and a whisky tasting masterclass to introduce the guests to Scotland’s golden spirit.

The second day was the main event. The teams of logistic and creative designers, planners, and builders completed their projects, and the scene was set for a magnificent Medieval soiree. Across the afternoon and evening the guests, now professionally costumed and coiffured, experienced this uniquely created world. It was a carousel of music, song, spoken word, and sensational performance. There was a complete banqueting tent and a feast to feed the stomach and the soul.

Our client has hosted many parties, across many years, and across many countries but this is the one that all others are now going to be measured against. The client was astounded by the seemingly effortless metamorphosis of the mansion’s grounds into a bustling medieval village enriched by the sights, sounds, and tastes that really brought the evening to life for all the guests. To have all this interspersed with performances by some of the most sensational performances, including household names, really was the icing on this birthday cake party!
